I’m doing a bit of a monster charity ride in June, from 1st to 20th, cycling from North Ronaldsay to Paris, playing golf every other day and hoping for some aiki play in Edinburgh, Manchester and Brighton. I hope some of you will come to that and put some money in for the homeless Charity, www.bht.org.uk/services/first-base-day-centre/ (a part of Brighton Housing Trust), for who we are doing this.
But the other thing is golf…yes, golf.
GOLF: We are playing early morning rounds on North Ronaldsay 1st June, Royal Dornoch 3rd, Pitlochry 5th, and Bathgate 7th, Kendal GC 10th, Kings Norton 14th, Wellington College 16th and East Brighton GC 18th. We would love to have golfers wanting to take part in this crazy expedition, support the charity and be a part of a unique event. We have free tee times and would like the golfers to contribute to the charity, hopefully around £50 a head (not any more than a tee time at some of these great courses). Do you have golfing friends or family who would want to take part?
AIKIDO: In addition, on 6th We will be in Edinburgh for Aiki and Thursday 11th in Manchester with Steve Evans. Please pass this on and ask anyone wanting more information or who wants to take part, to contact me email@example.com It would be great to get this support from the aikido fraternity across the UK
Immediately following our golf day in Brighton, we will finish this slightly crazy challenge with a ride from Big Ben to Paris in 36 hours starting midday or just after on 19th, and getting to Paris the evening of the 20th.
Btw, this is on a hybrid, self-supporting (carrying our own gear!)
